The Mobil Rarus 424 oils are recommended for single and multi-stage air compressors. They are particularly suitable for applications that work continuously at high temperatures. The maximum compression air temperature according to DIN 51506 is 220C. They can be used in piston and screw compressors, where the lower viscosity class is mainly used in the rotating types. The Mobil Rarus 424 oils are recommended for installations with a history of strong oil ageing, poor operation of valves and strong build-up of deposits. Rarus 424 is compatible with all applied metals in the construction of compressors and with elastomers that are compatible with mineral oils used in seals, O-rings and gaskets. The Mobil Rarus 424 oils are not recommended and are not intended for use in air compressors for respirators.
