Refrigeration compressors. Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V is recommended for use in open, semi-open and hermetically sealed compressors in domestic, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. It can be used in both rotary and reciprocating compressor types. Because of its strong solvent power and compatibility with mineral oils, it can be used as a flushing agent in turbine oil circuits. Shell Refrigeration Oil S4 FR-V is a synthetic oil for refrigeration compressors based on alkylbenzenes. It provides a universal solution for the lubrication requirements of most refrigeration compressors and is compatible with all common refrigeration compressor oils except HFCs.
